Investment Banking

Diego Recinos, Vice President, is based in Marathon Capital’s New York office. He is responsible for executing M&A and capital raise engagements in the clean power, sustainable technology, and infrastructure markets, conducting due diligence, and supporting Marathon Capital’s relationship management responsibilities.

Since joining Marathon Capital in 2021, Diego has advised on many transformative transactions including the sale of Vitol’s 692 MW operating solar and wind portfolio to three separate privately-owned IPPs, the sale of Basalt Infrastructure Partners’ 121 MW operating distributed solar portfolio to Altus Power, and the sale of BayWa r.e.’s 517 MW in-construction solar portfolio to a leading privately-owned IPP.

Diego received a BA in Economics and Political Science from Amherst College and a Master of International Finance and Energy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. He holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
