Hemal Patel, Director of Finance & Revenue Operations, is based in Marathon Capital’s Chicago office. He spearheads daily operations for the Accounting and Finance Department, collaborates closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director, and plays a pivotal role in managing working capital and driving corporate strategy initiatives.

Hemal started his career in the Financial Services Office of Ernst & Young, primarily auditing broker-dealers. He went on to work for a publicly traded, self-clearing broker-dealer acquired by a non-public, introducing broker-dealer and was an integral part of the migration efforts. Hemal went on to gain international exposure at United Airlines with the acquisition of Continental Airlines in the $3B Latin America portfolio focusing on increasing profitability, operational performance, and tactical sales growth within the agency and corporate channels. Thereafter, he was at Univar Solutions, where he headed the finance functions of a $3B product marketing management organization overseeing margin expansion initiatives while driving sustainable growth and improving working capital/cash flow.

Hemal received his Bachelors and Masters in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a Certified Public Accountant.
