Dan Hill, Vice President, is based in Marathon Capital’s Chicago office and is a member of the firm’s Offtake Solutions team. He supports the origination and execution of advisory and transaction mandates, working with developers, sponsors, and corporate buyers on complex offtake and commercial structuring assignments. Dan also plays an active role in advancing business development with corporate clients, supporting the continued growth of Marathon Capital’s offtake solutions practice.
Prior to joining Marathon Capital, Dan Hill worked at RWE, where he focused on the commercial origination and execution of power purchase agreements across RWE’s U.S. renewable portfolio. He was directly involved in structuring, negotiating, and closing PPAs from early‑stage commercial strategy through contract execution. In addition, Dan led commercial origination and planning for RWE’s U.S. offshore wind business and supported corporate‑level strategic initiatives, including RWE AG’s acquisition of Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses, with a focus on commercial due diligence and optimization. Previously, Dan worked at E.ON Climate & Renewables, where he supported utility‑scale renewable energy projects through commercial analysis, origination, and contracting activities.
Dan earned a BS in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Certificate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies from Stanford University. He holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
