Jonathan Hough, Managing Director, Head of Houston & Head of Low Carbon Molecules, is based in Marathon Capital’s Houston office. He has responsibility for the group’s origination and execution of M&A and capital formation transactions for developers and operators of hydrogen, biofuels, e-fuels, and carbon capture & sequestration assets. In addition to his client activity, Jonathan serves on Marathon Capital's executive leadership team and is head of Marathon Capital's Houston Office.

Jonathan has nearly two decades of energy investment banking experience. He has been based in Houston since 2003, where he has executed over $125 billion of advisory and capital markets transactions across the midstream, upstream, and oil field services sectors.

Prior to joining Marathon Capital, Jonathan led the U.S. Midstream Investment Banking practice for BMO Capital Markets. Before joining BMO, Jonathan held sector coverage positions with Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse First Boston, and Deutsche Bank global energy investment banking teams.

Jonathan received his MBA from Rice University and Master and Bachelor of Architecture degrees from Tulane University. He holds Series 7, 3, and 79 licenses.
