Jamie McMullin, General Counsel, is based in Marathon Capital’s Chicago office. He brings a wealth of experience across investment banking business lines, corporate governance, regulatory/compliance, and securities. He also brings experience with developing legal functions and international expansion.

Prior to joining Marathon Capital, Jamie was General Counsel for Halo Investing. He was responsible for all legal affairs of a high-growth Series C FinTech based in Chicago, developed a company infrastructure, and scaled the legal department to support domestic and international expansion. Prior to Halo Investing, he was Counsel for King & Spalding where he focused on capital markets transactions, including high-yield debt offerings and SPACs, corporate governance, and broker-dealer regulation. He has been Assistant General Counsel at Wells Fargo & Company, Associate with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, and Judicial Clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in Philadelphia, PA.

Jamie earned a JD and LLM in International Law from Duke University Law School and a BA in English from Amherst College. He is a member of the Bar in Illinois and Chicago.
