Jay Norton, Deputy General Counsel, is based in Marathon Capital’s New York office. He is responsible for advising on Marathon Capital's U.S. and international business activities.

Prior to joining Marathon Capital, Jay served as Director and Senior Counsel at Société Générale. Additionally, he has also been Director and Counsel at UBS Investment Bank and Capital Markets Partner at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP.

Jay earned a JD with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law and a BA in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Miami in Florida. He is proficient in Spanish. Jay holds Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses and is a member of the NY Bar Association.
