Josh Cornfeld, Managing Director, is based in Marathon Capital’s San Diego office. He is responsible for originating and executing corporate- and asset-level M&A and capital raise transactions in the clean power, sustainable technologies, and infrastructure markets. Josh is primarily focused on advising distributed energy resources platforms that provide clean energy products and services to residential and commercial customers across the U.S.
Since joining Marathon Capital in 2015, Josh has advised on transformative transactions for industry-leading companies such as the sale of Standard Solar to Brookfield Renewable for approximately $1 billion, the sale of SunPower’s C&I Solutions business to TotalEnergies for up to $250 million, Nexamp’s $240 million equity investment led by Generate Capital, PosiGen’s $100 million preferred equity financing led by Magnetar Capital, and the sale of AB CarVal’s 129 MW C&I solar operating portfolio to Argo Infrastructure.
Josh received a BA in Economics with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and a concurrent Master of Environmental Studies. He completed his MBA at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, graduating with High Distinction. Josh holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
