Julian Trobe, Vice President, is based in Marathon Capital’s New York office. He is responsible for executing M&A and capital raise engagements in the renewable fuel, renewable energy, and power sectors, conducting due diligence, and supporting Marathon Capital’s relationship management responsibilities, particularly with financial sponsors.

Julian has over a decade of investment banking experience advising clients in M&A, corporate finance, IPOs, spin-offs, and corporate strategy. Prior to joining Marathon Capital, Julian was an Investment Banking Associate in the Global Natural Resources group at Goldman Sachs, where he covered the renewables and power/utility sectors, executing transactions such as SunPower’s spin-off of Maxeon Solar Technologies and Goldman Sachs Renewable Power’s $500 million green bond offering.

Julian graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Berkeley, with a BA in Economics and Chinese and holds an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles Anderson School of Management. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
