Matt Volkov is a Director at Marathon Capital. Based in Chicago, Matt has experience advising companies and investors across a variety of sustainable infrastructure and technology sectors. He has a strong background in M&A, capital raising, and financial structuring.

Matt's recent transaction experience includes advising Basalt Infrastructure and Soltage on the sale of the Hyperion portfolio to Altus Power, Énergir on the sale of Standard Solar to Brookfield Renewable, PPL Corporation on the sale of Safari Energy to Aspen Power Partners, CarVal Investors on their acquisition of a minority interest in Verogy and RWE AG on the sell-down of four operating and in-construction wind farms to Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. and Greencoat.

Matt received his MBA from Cornell University and BAs in Economics and in Philosophy from the University of Rochester. Matt holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
