Matt Volkov, Vice President, is based in Marathon Capital’s Chicago office. He is responsible for executing M&A and capital raise engagements in the clean power, sustainable technology, and infrastructure markets, conducting due diligence, and supporting Marathon Capital’s relationship management responsibilities.

Matt has advised on many transformative transactions including the sale of Standard Solar to Brookfield, the sale of Safari Energy to Aspen Power Partners, the sale of SunPower’s C&I Solutions business to Total Energies, the sale of CarVal’s operating C&I portfolio to Argo Infrastructure and the sale of four RWE wind farms to Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. and Greencoat.

Matt received his MBA from Cornell University and BAs in Economics and in Philosophy from the University of Rochester. Matt holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
