Jay Mohnot

Investment Banking

Jay Mohnot, Vice President, is based in Marathon Capital’s London office. He is responsible for executing M&A and capital raise engagements in the solar, wind, battery storage, and carbon capture sectors, conducting due diligence and supporting Marathon Capital’s relationship management responsibilities.

Prior to joining Marathon Capital, Jay was an Investment Banking Associate in the Global Energy Group at Morgan Stanley. During his tenure at Morgan Stanley, Jay executed transactions across the energy value chain including EIG's acquisition of an interest in Peru LNG, IPO of Luberef (Saudi Aramco downstream-focused subsidiary), combination of Eni's UK E&P business with Ithaca Energy, and capital raises in the carbon storage and eFuels sectors. Jay has also served as an Assistant Manager at Ernst & Young Singapore, where he was responsible for the execution of statutory audit and financial due diligence assignments.

Jay received his MBA from IESE Business School in Spain, and BSc in Applied Accountancy from the Oxford Brookes University. Jay is also a qualified chartered accountant, having completed the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification. He speaks Hindi.
