Nelle McNicholas, Assistant Vice President, Head of Meetings & Events, is based in Marathon Capital’s Chicago office. She is responsible for overseeing the firm’s internal and external events, conference sponsorships and attendance, as well as business development dinners and closing celebrations. With over twelve years of experience in event management and strategic planning, Nelle leads a dedicated team to execute high-impact events that foster client relationships, enhance brand visibility, and support business development goals.
Nelle joined Marathon Capital in June of 2022 as a Meeting and Events Coordinator. Prior to joining Marathon Capital, Nelle was a meeting and event planner at Lions Clubs International (LCI). She was responsible for six annual Board of Directors meetings and various other internal and external meetings and events. As part of the convention team, Nelle also assisted in the planning and execution of LCI’s annual international convention. Prior to LCI, Nelle worked as an event coordinator in Aspen, Colorado, where she focused on luxury corporate events and retreats.
Nelle holds a BA in Journalism and a minor in Art History from Indiana University.
