Quang Ho

Quang Ho, Director, Tax & Structuring, is based in Marathon Capital’s New York office. He leverages 15 years of profound experience in energy and infrastructure investments as both a principal investor and advisor. He plays a pivotal role in fortifying the firm's tax equity and transferability capabilities across a diverse spectrum of sectors, including solar, wind, carbon capture, standalone storage, RNG, and hydrogen.

Joining Marathon Capital as Vice President, Quang has spearheaded numerous notable projects, showcasing his expertise in closing tax equity deals for significant renewable projects. His achievements include securing PTC tax equity for Omega's 265MW Goodnight Wind I project, structuring one of the first PTC tax credit transfers and debt for Ashtrom's 400MW Tierra Bonita solar project, advising on Jupiter portfolio of standalone BESS ITC transfers, while also advising various developers/sponsors on various tax structures to help them finance their renewable projects. Quang also supports Investors on the buy-side with structuring, modeling, and due diligence for their tax equity investments, such as supporting Sumitomo Corporation of America on their tax equity investment in a portfolio of renewable C&I projects and supporting M&A transactions such as Tokyo Gas of America on their purchase of Longbow  BESS from Clean Capital Partners.

Prior to his tenure at Marathon Capital, Quang held the position of Senior Vice President at GE Energy Financial Services within the Power and Renewable team. At GE, he led global investments in the energy sector, with a particular emphasis on tax equity partnerships in renewable energy. Noteworthy accomplishments during his time at GE include the successful closure of various tax equity transactions in greenfield and repowered wind projects. Quang also led a $1Bn portfolio sale of energy assets to Apollo, managed the refinancing and expansion of a 280MW diesel-fired peaking plant, and negotiated PPAs, including a notable agreement with Microsoft for one of GE’s portfolio companies.

Quang holds a BA in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada and is a CFA® charterholder. He holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
