Topher Lancaster

Topher Lancaster, Vice President, based in Marathon Capital’s Houston office. He is responsible for executing M&A and capital raise engagements in the renewable fuel, renewable energy, and power sectors, conducting due diligence, and supporting Marathon Capital’s relationship management responsibilities.

Since joining Marathon Capital in 2020, Topher has worked on several notable transactions including Clean Capital Partners’ sale of a 174 MW BESS asset in ERCOT to Tokyo Gas America, Eolian's sale of 450 MW of standalone storage assets across WECC, 174 Power Global's sale of a 1.4 GW solar and storage portfolio in Arizona/CAISO, the sale of Standard Solar, Inc. to Brookfield Renewable, and BayWa's sale of 400 MW of solar and standalone storage assets in ERCOT to Eni New Energy.

Prior to Marathon Capital, Topher worked for PFM Financial Advisors, advising public sector clients on the financing and implementation of clean energy initiatives and supporting government sponsors of both residential and commercial PACE programs. He also interned with Marathon Capital as a Summer Associate.

Topher received a BA in Political Philosophy, Policy, and Law from the University of Virginia, where he also earned a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in clean energy and sustainable development. He later graduated with his MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. He holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
