Marathon Capital Advises Ecofin U.S. Renewables on Sale of its Distributed Generation Portfolio to True Green Capital

Marathon Capital acted as exclusive financial advisor to Ecofin U.S. Renewables Infrastructure Trust PLC (“RNEW”) on the agreement to sell its portfolio of distributed generation solar assets (“DG Portfolio”) to True Green Capital Management LLC (“TGC”). The total consideration for the 64 MW DG portfolio, located across six different states, is $54 million.
Marathon Capital provided valuation, structuring, due diligence, and negotiation support throughout the sale process and is currently marketing RNEW’s remaining utility-scale wind and solar assets as a part of the managed wind-down of its business.
RNEW is publicly listed on the London Stock Exchange and is managed by Ecofin Advisors LLC, which is SEC registered and has been appointed as the Company’s alternative investment fund manager.
TGC is heavily invested in the distributed generation market with its portfolio spanning across 17 US states, the United Kingdom, and France. This acquisition supports the company’s strategic vision as a leader in the distributed generation market, driving growth, and strengthening its position in the industry.
